Meetings of Energy Initiatives Established within the framework of WSSD Type II Partnerships

In the preparation for the high level meeting of the EU Energy Initiative for poverty eradication and sustainable development on "Energy for Africa", held in Nairobi in November 2003, the idea of a joint meeting of energy initiatives created at WSSD in Johannesburg was discussed and considered helpful as these partnerships were moving into the implementation phase. This meeting took place back-to-back with the 4th GFSE Conference "Energy for Sustainable Development: Reconsidering the Role of Incentive Measures".
