EDP, a global energy company, recently purchased a stake in SolarWorks!, which sells decentralized solar energy solutions for off-grid customers, thereby boosting energy access in Mozambique.[more]

Winners of the 2018 UN Climate Solutions Awards Announced

Fifteen game-changing initiatives from around the world, which contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), were announced on 26th September 2018, as winners of the UNFCCC's Momentum for Change Solutions Award:[more]

Africa’s SDG Index and Dashboards were released

The Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) and the SDG Center for Africa (SDGC/A) released an Africa focused SDG Index and a Dashboards. The platforms track 51 countries and their progress toward the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). [more]

Opening of the Center for Sustainable Development Goals for Latin America and Caribbean & Launching of the Zambia Center for Southern Africa

The second edition of the REN21 Academy will be taking place from 19th – 21st November 2018 in Berlin, Germany. [more]

COP 24 in Katowice, Poland in December 2018

The 24th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP24) will be held from 3rd to 14th December 2018 in Katowice, Poland. In its capacity as EU negotiator, Austria will represent Europe’s climate policy interests during the conference.
