Access to affordable, reliable and clean energy supply is essential to Africa’s economic growth and human development. Africa is well endowed in energy resources and has the potential to develop these resources and help create vibrant economies and improve the standards of living of its citizens.

The Energy Africa Conference is a collaborative effort among universities, research organizations, businesses and individuals to bring together business executives and thought leaders from the public, non-government organizations and research institutions to dialogue, collaborate, encourage, invest in and support the work needed to stimulate domestic markets for gaseous and renewable energy sources. The objective is to develop a roadmap that integrates the technical, socioeconomic, political and financial components designed to equip policymakers and stakeholders with the tools and information needed to establish an infrastructure that is economically viable, affordable, socially sustainable and supportive of a clean environment. It is also a venue for fostering and inspiring local and international entrepreneurs to initiate and support sustainable power systems and increase economic growth and prosperity.
