Save the Date: Vienna Energy Forum 2015

From the 18th to the 20th of June 2015, just a few months before the Sustainable Development Goals Summit in New York and the UNFCCC Conference of the Parties (COP 21) in Paris, the Vienna Energy Forum (VEF) will take place. The bi-yearly Vienna Energy Forum will provide a high-level platform for policy makers, energy practitioners and thought leaders to engage in a dialogue on crucial sustainable energy issues related to capacity building, knowledge exchange, policy, technology and inclusive development. GFSE will be holding a side event on "Green Building Concepts and Policies".

Next to high-level discussions, the VEF will showcase best practices and actions on the ground, address nexus issues that link energy to water, food and health, and emphasize the benefits of the Post-2015 Development and the Climate Agenda. This year’s VEF will also build on the experiences that were gained during previous VEF events in the years 2009, 2011 and 2013.

The registration for the Vienna Energy Forum is now open; please register in advance in order to secure your participation.

During the course of this event, several side events have also been planned. The Global Forum on Sustainable Energy (GFSE) will be holding an interesting Side-Event on Green Buildings in the afternoon of Friday, 19th June 2015. More information about the GFSE side-event will be provided soon on our website.
