Sustainable Energy For All Forum 2015, 17-21 May 2015

The Second UN Sustainable Energy For All Forum on "Financing Sustainable Energy For All" will be taking place from 17-21 May 2015 in New York. This event will feature the launch of the Global Sustainable Energy for All Commitment Platform and for the first time ever, a Global Energy Ministerial Dialogue on Energy in the Post-2015 Era. World leaders and experts will come together to discuss the progress on the SE4All initiative, share knowledge and success stories, and present ideas to catalyze finance to reach the goals. Public and private sector actions and commitments to SE4ALL will feature strongly on the agenda.

The Forum will further offer new approaches to track progress towards 2030, based on the 2nd biennial Sustainable Energy for All Global Tracking Framework, and will facilitate coordinating input from SE4ALL to other processes like the climate change negotiations and the post-2015 development agenda.

Launched in 2011, the Sustainable Energy For All (SE4All) initiative aims to achieve, by the year 2030, three interlinked global targets: to ensure universal access to modern energy services, to double the global rate of improvement in energy efficiency and to double the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix.
