The Chaillot Declaration

Throughout the Buildings and Climate Global Forum held in France from 7th to 8th March 2024, the Chaillot Declaration was drafted in collaboration with numerous representatives of national and non-governmental organisations, in addition to ministerial delegations. The Chaillot Declaration encompasses various methods and goals pertaining to the advancement of decarbonising the building sector.

 

This particular Declaration utilizes an holistic approach to mitigating the impact of the building sector to the climate crisis, by acknowledging current gaps in policy in addition to advocating for capacity building on a national and international level. Among others, the signatories have committed to enhance skill capacity and capacity building, notably by strengthening local knowhow and ensuring working conditions are protected.
